The Cagayan Valley Program on Environment and Development (CVPED) has a unique organizational structure. The day to day activities are jointly managed by the two coordinators of the program representing Isabela State University (ISU) and Leiden University (LU).
Management
For general affairs, long-term strategies and crucial decisions the Technical Advisory Teams (TAT) are responsible. The CFEM-TAT is chaired by the Dean of College of Forestry and Environmental Management (CFEM) (Dr. Edmundo Gumpal) and composed of the CFEM Research Coordinator (Dr. Tomas Reyes) and the Chairman of the Graduate Program (Dr. Marino Romero) as members. In the Netherlands , the Head of the Asia Program of Centre of Environmental Science (CML) (Dr. Denyse Snelder) chairs the CML-TAT .
In addition to these formal structures, CVPED has an Advisory Committee of regional scope, which primary function is to ensure local support and feedback. The Regional Advisory Committee Meeting is chaired by the ISU President (Dr. Romeo R. Quilang). It is composed of the regional directors of the national key agencies of the region (the National Economic and Development Authority, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Agriculture, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples), the executive director of Isabela State University (ISU) Cabagan campus and a non-government organization (Plan International)
The two CVPED program coordinators, Andres B. Masipiqueña and Jan van der Ploeg, are responsible for the daily management of CVPED.
